The year 2025 has been proclaimed worldwide as the Year of Johann Strauss, marking the 200th anniversary of the birth of Vienna’s most celebrated composer.
The distinguished soloists of the Johann Strauss Virtuosi, members of the renowned Vienna Schoenbrunn Palace Orchestra, offer the audience of Komotini the opportunity to experience the festive musical atmosphere of the enchanting era of Imperial Vienna. They invite us to welcome 2026 with music filled with joy and optimism, through the most beautiful waltzes and polkas of the world-famous Viennese dynasty of composers, the Strauss family.
Internationally acclaimed, the Vienna Schoenbrunn Palace Orchestra specializes in the interpretation of classical works from the Golden Age of Imperial Vienna. With a deep dedication to authentic Viennese style and performance, the orchestra has become a benchmark of high-quality classical entertainment. Its concerts at the Orangerie of Schönbrunn Palace play a significant role in the cultural and musical life of Vienna.
The Johann Strauss Virtuosi are conducted by the charismatic Maestro Vinicius Kattah, a permanent collaborator of the Vienna Schoenbrunn Palace Orchestra, as well as the Vienna State Opera and the Vienna Konzerthaus. He is regarded as one of the most promising conductors of the new generation.
The highlight of the evening: the iconic “The Blue Danube”, the most famous waltz in the world and Johann Strauss’s unmistakable musical signature, accompanied by dancing couples who transport us into the magical world of the Golden Age of Imperial Vienna.
